Spring in Victoria – Get to know the place!

Well technically it isn’t spring til March 21st but the blossoms are out so lets call winter over and move on.

Victoria has many great events and attractions so before the crush of cruise ships and post-olympic tourist start showing up at our doors here are some great events for us ‘locals’.┬áThis isn’t the usual ‘free’ items we tend to list but its worth a word for all the local businesses that support and promote stuff the rest of the year.

Starting this week “Dine around Victoria” starts with our local establishments trying to entice you to spend a few dollars and try out their offerings. These are largely fixed price menus at $20, $30 and $40 each that gives you a taste of some of the skills of our local chefs.

Starting March 3rd, Attractions Victoria starts up “Be a Tourist in Your Own Home Town” which gives similar incentive to try out the local attractions that your friends and family will be asking about when they show up.

Both events end March 7th.
